Diorama

In class this week we created dioramas about a habitat of our choice. I did the river Nile. If you look at the picture above you will see my diorama. My class did it because we were learning about habitats. I enjoyed it because it was really fun making it. I hope you like the look of it. 

Author

Today an author visited our school his name was Raymond Huber. He has created books such as sting and wings they are both books about bees. He talked to us about his books and how he makes them.
I think he's really different to other authors I have meet and that's good.

Code Ransom Note

This week in code club we did a ransom note. We used trinket to create it using code. Here is mine.

Science

In science, we learned about animal adaptations and how it helps them survive in tough environments. Here is some example. Bears have heaps of fur to keep them warm and snakes have hard scaly skin to keep them from burning. Adaptions can vary from camouflage to claws. Adaptations are amazing!

Phantom

In class we did book reviews mine was about the phantom of the auditorium. Here is mine.

Mini BB fair

This week in school we had a mini fair. It was called the Mini BB fair. The reason it had 2 Bs is because we were only selling books and baking. My friend Xavier and I were on one of the baking stalls. The rest of the school council and I were the ones who organised it. We thought the fair was a good idea because we wanted to get a mural on the power box outside the school. We asked kids to bring in old books and baking. Some of the baking was really cool and colourful. I even managed to snag a rainbow cupcake. We needed to raise $670 for the mural and we raised $750! We were really happy that we raised enough money and can’t wait to see how the mural looks.

Netball

This week my netball team represented my school at the netball interschools. My team's name is the thunderbirds. We won our grade and didn't lose a game. In the final game for the cup we won. The final score was 4-8 to us and we got the cup and won. When we got back to school it was just about the end of the day and we went home champions.

Horned Lizard

In writing this week we did explanation writing on a reptile of our choice. We did it because we needed to learn how to do explanation writing and as a slide because we did our last piece on a doc. I did mine on the horned lizard. I hope you enjoy it.
